Most fantasy artists are fascinated with drawing dinosaurs and Armando Gil is no expection. Despite the fascination few artists can actually get it right when it comes to drawing the creatures of yesteryear. Michael Golden and Walter Simonson are two comic book artists who instantly spring to mind when it comes to realistic looking dinosaurs, and not just enlarged lizards. In Armando's illustrations he manages to convey a powerful understanding of anatomy combined with personality and motion to bring to life the saurians that most children grew up both fearing and loving at the same time. Be it a rough sketch or a fully realised drawing, Armando is able to bring power and awe to the drawing board and his dinosaurs spring to life and almost leap off the pages.
